Our group is a welcoming and diverse community of individuals who appreciate the simple pleasures of life: a good brew, refreshments, a raffle and great company.

Meeting in the cozy corner of the Barrel, we bring people together for a chat and a laugh. It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind and share stories, ideas, and thoughts on a myriad of topics, from local news to global affairs, from books to films, and from the quirks of everyday life to the grand plans for the future.

Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur, a tea enthusiast, or you simply enjoy a hot beverage, you’ll find your place here. Our gatherings are an open space to connect with old friends or make new ones, and engage in meaningful discussions or light-hearted banter.

Our meetings take place between 1:00pm  and 3:00pm every Wednesday and we’re always open to new ideas. So, come and grab a cup, and let’s raise a cup to good company and conversation. We look forward to sharing a brew and some delightful chit-chat with you.

The Barrel is located on Leyland Road, Middleforth, Penwortham. Next Door to the car lot, on the same side as the Fire Station towards Preston
